Dr Spierings was born in the Netherlands and moved to London to complete her medical education St. George’s, University of London. She stayed in London for foundation and core medical training before securing a dermatology training number at her alma mater. After becoming a consultant dermatologist (GMC 7018298), Dr. Spierings undertook a one year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Complex Dermatologic Surgery at the prestigious Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, UK. As a registrar, Dr. Spierings founded DermEd, a medical education company, as well as DermOwl, the only
dermatology-NTN specific interview course and has established herself as one of UK’s leading dermatology educators, with a unique and engaging style of teaching and presenting. She also completed a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at Kingston University School of Business in August 2016, with a focus on public service management and designing cost-neutral, innovative ways to manage demand and supply within the healthcare sector. She is currently completing a Masters in Aesthetic Medicine at Queen Mary, University of London. Outside of work, Dr. Spierings can usually be found in the gym early in the morning, as she has a passion for strength training and staying physically fit and healthy.
